Pangea Day, London
I came across Pangea Day on the TED Talks website purely by coincidence, but have to say what a lovely coincedence it was. Went to Somerset House in London last night and witnessed the first truly global event where people from a number of countries watched the event at the same time. There is no point talking about what the event it about as it is best expressed at their website - http://www.pangeaday.org/ , but I do want to describe a couple of that stood out for me or made me think: - Human behaviour - More things that are common that uncommon between people across the world. - Role of Media - All we see about other countries in our news channels, newspapers etc. on a day to day basis is what is wrong in these countries - probably because this is what makes most money to media companies. How about having a global TV channel / newspaper that shows only positive things from all areas in the world and covers all the cool things and positive news - is it possible to make a business case...
