Dreams Diary

I have been having these weird dreams lately. Sometimes I think it's almost hollywood material, but then I am sure most people probably think the same way.

Last night it was me back in Kashipur trying to save everyone from dying in a flood, one so forceful that it has not been recorded in the history. And it all happens amongst an international cricket match being played in the ground behind my house where all my friends and family are gathering to meet me before we all run away and save ourselves from this flood, and a huge volcanic eruption.

When I arrive in Kashipur in a futuristic sort of a vehicle, which was a cross between a bus and a tank, the main road was already flooded and I thought I was too late. But, then magically this vehicle turns around and parks next to the pavement (don't forget this is all happening in a dream!!). While the vehicle was turning I had a vision of this futuristic harvest combine machine overpowering the force of water giving me a chance to help save the people I care for! :)

Anyway, I get off this vehicle and meet people I haven't met for a long time. First one was Sharafat, our most loyal employee at the shop at one time. I saw him last four years ago when papa passed away, but it didn't feel like it has been so long in the dream. I argued with him to come with me, but he insisted that water will not rise beyond the first storey and he will be safe even though the shop will most probably be immersed in water. I remember it being a very dramatic and emotional discussion after which I hugged him and wished him good luck.

Next up was my uncle and his family. They all had a plan too. One of our family friends had recently built a five storey hotel and since he deals in steel, cement, and iron; he has made sure his hotel had enough of these three ingredients to withhold even a nuclear attack.

Feeling a bit unsure as to why I was so worried, a walk home and meet my mum and dad. Yes, it was very nice and warm feeling. I spoke to papa as he was next to me. I could feel his presence and I didn't have the feeling that he is not with us anymore.

After having delicious food, which was prepared specially for me, we discussed the options. I told them that I intended to take everyone in the family to a near by hill station to avoid any kind of risk. But, we somehow agreed that they will go to this five storey hotel as well that our family friend has built and they will all be safe.

Next thing I remember is me and chetan (my brother) trying to cross this field to get to the ground before it gets all flooded, where our friends had gathered to watch this international cricket match. When we get to the ground, we look at the sky which was clear at the moment with few blotches or clouds here any there. We convinced ourselves that there may be some time to enjoy the cricket match. So, we buy the tickets.

And as we were buying the tickets a huge volcano erupts a few miles away. A huge cloud of dust engulfs the sky. I remember thinking to myself that I don't remember a volcano being there in Kashipur, but a sense of urgency dooms on us and we run around trying to find a place to hide. We find this small hut, and stay inside until the sun is shining again, which, surprisingly enough, didn't take too long considering it was a very powerful eruption and we were hiding from the volanic dust which now covers everything the naked eye could see.

Anyway, the sunshine gives us a little more confidence to go and see the match again. But, by the time we get the pitch, dark clouds start to form again and I wake up!!.
